news:
Monday, August 29, 2005, Open House will be held from 6:30 P.M. - 8:30 P.M.
Announcements from school (we missed them because the v-brick wasnt working, but we will try to put them up all days anyways):
Those students who signed up for the morning Dual Credit English Class with Dr.McCulley need to attend class this Thursday and Friday at the Tech Center. This will allow Dr.McCulley to meet with students and begin the class. Make sure you have purchased the text book before going to class. Remember, this is for the morning class only. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Klemstein in the Counseling Center, Room 307.
If you have not taken the ACT and would like to, there is still time to take the September 24 test. The last day to register and pay the $29 fee is August 19. Late registration is extended through September 2, however the fee goes up to $47! If you are interested in any testing information, please stop by the counseling center in rom 307.
Academic planners are for sale in the front office with Mrs. Sradley or in Mrs. Lindsey's Portable #6. The cost for the calender is $4.00.
The Lamar Playhouse (the theatre department) will hold auditions for the fall play, You Can't Take it With You, on Monday, August 15th at 4:00 pm in Room 127 across from the band hall. if you have any questions, see Mr. Hill for more details. The play will be October 12th, 14th, 15th.
The 2005 yearbooks are in and may be picked up to starting at 4th period today, August 10th. Come by the journalism room, which is now room 312 in the min building. It is the old PALs room. If you did not predorder one last year, the yearbook staff has extras for $65.
This is going to be an exciting year with all the construction taking place on the campus. Just a reminder, the only way to get to the Village is by exiting the front doors and following the sidewalks out. Please be patient. (this is from the school... it's hard to be patient....)
